About Love And Pride taken from Web site
The collective dream of a group of visionary artists and entrepreneurs, Love & Pride is a venture founded on tolerance, respect and the continuing belief in the transformative powers of love, peace and hope.
As human beings, our most precious gift is freedom: to think for ourselves, to be who we want, and to live and share our lives with whom we want. But what really sets us apart is the ability to love and use our feelings for the greater good. This is both our greatest strength and greatest hope for the future - something our products reflect, inspire and celebrate.
About Designer Udi Behr taken from Web site
A native of Israel, Udi lived through three wars determined to create things of beauty and to promote peace. After learning his trade in the Tel Aviv diamond industry, his fame as an original designer took off upon his arrival in New York in 1983. His jewelry collections have been showcased in legendary stores such as Sak's, Fortunoff's and Macy's, and worn by celebrities from Ludacris to Angela Bassett to Britney Spears. 9/11 was a turning point in Udi's life (he and his family still live in lower Manhattan) and inspired the Love, Peace & Hope collection. This became a precursor of all his exclusive creations under the Love & Pride brand. Seamlessly integrating spirituality with glamour and emotion, they are the finest articulation yet of his extraordinary vision.
Udi has been marked as Top Designer of the Year and 10% of Love And Pride's revenue is donated to Lambda Legal, a national organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and those with HIV through impact litigation, education and public policy work.
